27 years old Dror Pekatch is the first and, as of yet, the only Israeli rider to have been signed a professional contract with a first division professional cycling team, SUBARU-GARY FISHER.
Among his many accomplishments he was a national champion both on the road and mountain bike, twice a winner in the yearly MTB Israeli league, and a winner of dozens of races in Israel, from El-Rom in the north, to Eilat in the south.
In 2005 Dror Pekatch was chosen “Rider of the month” in Belgium, by O2BIKES magazine.
In 2006 Pekatch signed a professional contract with SUBARU-GARY FISHER, which extended his contract to the 2008 season, following his results.
In 2007 Pekatch set a national best by placing 53 in the world, and 72 in the world cup rankings.

3rd place, Eurigio Cup, Germany.

In 2007 Pekatch was chosen to be the only Elite rider to represent the Israeli national team in the world championship in Scotland.
In march of 2008, a 10cm benign tumor was discovered in Dror’s thigh. The tumor was surgically removed and since recovery Dror is back on top with 5th place in the national road championship and 4th in the mountain bike championship, in addition to 3 other victories in other national cup races.
In July, 2008, dror began working with internationally acclaimed coach, Mr. Benoit Nave from France.
In addition to his racing and training schedule Dror produced the now famous international training camp, where international professional riders come and train in a fully sponsored, fully supported 10 day camp.
Among his community activities Dror pekatch helped prepare disabled children for the Special Olympics that took place in Shanghai, China, and took part in fund-raising activities for the Spivak Sports Center for disabled children.
Dror Pekatch is the most media covered Israeli rider, both written and broadcast, and is considered an unusual character in Israel cycling scene.
